my set up: nistune 740cc injectors gms 550bb turbos stock TT pump zeitronix zt-2 wideband my friend and I were bored, and talked about running e85 on my car because i should be able to support it. With about 1/8 of a tank we filled her up with e85 with the car running and watched AFR lean out to 21 and stall. We changed injector value from 330 to 480 with nistune untill we had 14.7 at idle again.
Car ran excellent drivablity wise. but pretty rich on the mid and top end. While watching the wideband logger we kept adjusting on 17-18psi pulls 79% injector duty cycle max (note, its not a full e85 blend yet, still about some 5 gallons of 93 i estimate was in tank). We kept tuning to 11.5 and threw 8degrees more timing in it with no knock (watching with SAFC2 and ears) The car runs almost as strong as before, maybe a little stronger down low, and little weaker on the top end. My question is what is my afr target on a gas wideband band being used on e85. this link show so decent info. [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E85_in_standard_engines#Air.2FFuel_mixture_problems ] How should i calculate lambda on a gas wideband, this is where im a little lost?
